OUR “JOURNEY”

The “our” refers not only to our own

personal journey through life but also

to our Society’s journey through its

formative years, to “our” destination -

a closer relationship with God.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING ?

“ Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and  narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.”  (Mat.7:13-14)

THE AVERAGE PERSON’S IDEA OF A GOOD SERMON IS ONE THAT GOES OVER HIS  HEAD AND HITS HIS NEIGHBOUR.

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.”

Text Box: OUR VISION - REVISITED
What is “knowing and doing the will of God” ?
Answer : It is a personal relationship with God !
To this end we should all pay attention to the following book excerpt submitted by Jim King.

YOUR MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP
There is nothing—absolutely nothing more important than developing a friendship with God.
It’s a relationship that will last forever. Paul told Timothy, “Some of these people have missed the most important thing in life—they don’t know God.” (1 Timothy 6:21)(Living Bible) Tyndale House Publishers (1979)
Have you been missing out on the most important thing in life ? You can do something about it, starting now - it’s your choice. You are as close to God as you choose to be!
Verse to Remember: “Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you.” (James 4:8)(New Living Bible Translation) Tyndale House Publishers (1996

RELATIONSHIP THEN “COMMITMENT”
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” (Ps 37:5-6) KJV

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” (2Ch. 16:9) NIV

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Prov. 16:3) KJV
	or, in other words :
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” (Prov. 16:3) NIV

HOW STRONG IS YOUR COMMITMENT ?
